The app is ok when it works but a sync failure usually means deleting the app and reinstalling. I have the best luck sync luck using cellular data only. WI-FI works on some hot spots bit not others. Most of the time, a sync failure means deleting the app and reinstalling from scratch. It's a pain. I love my Vivosmart HR+ device but the device loses a lot of value without reliable software. I am surprised Garmin has not put extra focus on fixing the sync issues given all the negative feedback. It has to be hurting sales.

For everybody with syncing/pairing problems: Go to Battery saver settings and select 'Always allowed in the background' for this app. Once I've selected that option, my Garmin Edge 810 was connected in a second and everything worked beautifully.

At best, syncing with W10 is inconsistent. OK Forerunner 35 device but useless W10 application.

I wanted to be able to sync my FR230 using bluetooth from my computer and connecting with this app (since whenever I plug in my watch to PC using Garmin Express, it won't let me do anything while it's plugged in). The app finds my watch over bluetooth and it connects fine. However, none of my apps or data sync. It's amazing to me that Garmin doesn't allow Bluetooth syncing with its full desktop Garmin Express app. Meanwhile it's peddling this half-baked Windows store app. I am still not sure if I will keep the watch. It is a great watch, but Garmin's software is really lacking.

Had an issue syncing until I found that turning off Bluetooth, opening app, then after app opens, turn on Bluetooth. Device then syncs. Not a great solution but does make the app usable.

This is a terrible app. Doesn't work will not launch with my Samsung S5 and approach S20. Garmin support is non existent. So I tried the PC version and it won't connect thru Bluetooth. Says to use the app to connect but as stated above the app will not launch. Last Garmin product I will ever buy.
